  2. Hi. I received discovered references to your research in relation to Mary Battlemore. I don’t know if you are aware of a clutch of Battlemores in the late 1700s in Goudhurst. Although they are recorded as Battlemore, this was incorrect and their actual name was Bartholomew. I am descended from this group and I have DNA connections showing on Ancestry to the Bell family. I think, therefore, your Mary is actually a Bartholomew although I don’t know the exact relationship yet. Best wishes,
